Memory with Purpose 9-13-05
Often during devotions after lunch, my family and I work on Bible verse memorization. Dad holds up cards bearing the verses on them and we either say them together or individually. Christophe usually eats with us and listens to our devotions and memory work. One day Dad asked if he new the verse we were practicing. Christophe said yes then proceeded to recite it in English. He continued reciting verses in English for the next few minutes, much to our surprise and enjoyment! When asked how he learned them so fast, and Christophe replied, “We don't have many books in school and we learn how to memorize very quickly.” Dad said he was impressed, as were we all! It is our prayer that Christophe as well as Christians all around the world would continue to hide God’s word in their hearts!
