In Haiti Again… We arrived in Haiti on November 7th. Mme Lulu, our helper welcomed us with a wonderful meal in our clean home, thanks to her and Connie Pashak. We were thankful that our entire luggage arrived with us and there would be no special trips to the airport to pick up left-over tubs! After a good supper we immediately began unpacking and suddenly the house was a disaster! It took about 1 day to get all the boxes from 2 sea containers, our luggage from the trip down unpacked and put away. Next came a day or two of organization and the house looks pretty good. Of course there are always nooks and crannies to clean out and better organize, but it is good enough for now. Jan, Mark and Christophe took some time to better organize the depot (small shop) before beginning the porch project. Overall, we have jumped back into things pretty quickly and all seems to be well.

Renewing Friendships It is good to see many of our friends again, many of who become like family. Sunday we were blessed with many unexpected visitors. They lift our spirits and remind us of God’s wonderful blessing of fellowship.

Team #1 and Kidney Stones
Jan and Ron met the first “team” at the airport on Friday of the same week we arrived. Things had not run real smooth with the airlines, and they found themselves missing the small airplane to their destination. Soon it was understood why…Jan had begun the day before with an attack which seemed like the beginning of a kidney stone. The attack began again, only this time with great intensity. Jan was miserable for most of Friday and evening and into the night. Thankful several nurses were at the Guesthouse they were staying at, and they were a comfort and a source of meds. Jan flew home the next day and the team (Rick Wuethrich & Denny Leman, from F-ville Church) went on with Ron to Jeremy. As of today (Friday, Nov 17), Jan still has not passed the stone. He will be very grateful when this ordeal is over!
Porch Project We are thankful to beginning on our “extended” porch project. It will be a very nice addition to our home, giving us a secure place for outdoor furniture, more space for children to play and keep toys, and a nice area for entertaining. Because it is much cooler we will probably eat our meals there too. We look forward to using the space!

CHRISTOPHE TAKES A BREAK TO POSE WITH HIS "HELPER" DEREK
Finding a routine again It will take sometime to get into a good routine. Each day gets a little better, a little more organized and “normal” flowing. The children have their rooms pretty much organized and are again doing school at their desks. We reorganized our living room space to accommodate Brett and his need for floor space and feeding area. Christophe hung a few lights in the kitchen giving vital light to areas like the sink and food preparation counter. Little by little it feels like our home again. We still have several small projects to complete that will help make better use of the available space. The days begin around 5:30 and end at 5:30pm. So it is early to rise and early to bed. It is amazing how tired you can be at 8:00pm when the day began at 5:30! Thankfully all the children are sleeping well again!
Teams The first team was small but we were grateful for the visit from 2 Brothers from F-ville Church. The next team comes in early December. They will do a school roof which requires a boat ride to an island and a 45 minute walk inland. We trust all will go well as they plan and prepare for their journey.

OUR FIRST TEAM OF THE NEW SEASON!!
Prayer and Praise Please continue to pray for us as we adjust to the hot climate and all the interruptions of our day. It takes time to fit back into this society. Language will be a big issue for us. We are armed with loads of exercises to help us, but it will all take preparation time and execution time. We hope to begin formal lessons again soon. With very few teams in Nov-Dec, we should have some time to get more Creole under out belts. Continue to pray for our health as we are exposed to more “stuff” down here. We praise God for a safe journey and for reasonable health for all of us. We are so thankful for a wonderful support system back home, from our local F-ville church, to our Caribbean Sending Committee to our many family and friends. We truly could not do it without your loving support! To God be the Glory for anything HE does with each one of us! We are his workmanship!
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen Ephesians 3:20-21
