My kind of day! Life in Haiti has gone pretty good so far. Sometimes the days get long, but just yesterday the sea container arrived!!! It arrived here around 2 o’clock, and with in a half hour all the Haitian workers had showed up to work. We began with a prayer by our yard man, followed by the breaking of the lock on the container. Soon all the men were busy taking boxes and beds (the beds are for the MEBSH Clinic) off the container. I and three other ladies had the job of checking off the number on the boxes, so we know if all of the boxes came off. Sometimes there would be around 50 boxes of the same thing so all of the Haitians formed a human chain line to get the boxes from one place to another faster!! Then they were put into piles for the hospital, RMI, construction etc. J Unloading the container is not just a “job” for us, it’s also a time to fellowship with the other missionaries. By around 4 o’clock the container was empty!
I just want to say I can’t wait to see ya’ll in 3 weeks!!
God bless, Alisha
