Today Mme Lulu asked me to go buy some spaghetti noodles and sugar. I jumped on our 4-wheeler and drove 5 minutes to a little store in the village of Simone. On the way there I saw Roseman, our house lady, and her husband Joel. I found the store and asked for a couple bags of noodles and a pound of sugar. The store is a small room, smaller than a one car garage. They have about three areas with shelves full of supplies like oil, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise. The also have big bags of rice, corn meal, sugar, and beans. Flies are everywhere on all the food, but the store owners keep the stuff covered. I paid Mme Etil, jumped on my 4-wheeler and headed home. When I get asked to do this job, I am always excited.
