June 2007
It is hard to believe that Brett is 18mo. old now. He looks very big next to 10lb Joel! We are back in Haiti with him and he is getting to use to heat and humidity again. He had a bad cold before we came, and 5 days after our arrival he had a fever and a day of not feeling very well. Thankfully his is acting more himself now!

We were unable to get in contact with our therapist while in the US, but look forward to seeing Erika, his PT in Haiti in a week or so. Brett continues to show small signs of improvement over the past couple of months. He is lifting his head when he rolls to his tummy from his back, which will help him in rolling over and eventually getting into the crawling position. His head control is better, but he still fatigues easily. His feet are still his faithful friends. He continues to love to chew on his thumb, and has been grinding his teeth over the past month! He has begun to grab at the toys that we hang over him, which is really great to see. It appears like he sees them. Thankfully Brett continues to eat a little cereal. He complains about it most days, but some times we have very good times of oral feeding. He is now about 20lbs. and pretty much dead weight. We decided a umbrella stroller was a necessity in the airport, since we are all loaded down with bags and he is hard to carry. That worked out very well.

We continue to trust the Lord with Brett's future, for it is truly in His hands. With little Joel here now, we find ourselves busy with babies. Brett is still easy going and requires little work. Joel on the other hand.....Really he is a good baby, but his "normal" crying makes us realize how good Brett is! Thanks for the love and concern you have for this special boy. May God richly bless you for taking the time to pray.
