A few Sundays ago after church my family went down to the Simone Orphanage! We took a big kettle and lots of popcorn! While the oil was heating up, we jumped rope with the kids! They were really good at it and we all had a blast! At last . .

Today Mme Lulu asked me to go buy some spaghetti noodles and sugar. I jumped on our 4-wheeler and drove 5 minutes to a little store in the village of Simone. On the way there I saw Roseman, our house lady, and her husband Joel. I found . .

Tess - March 2007
Hello everyone,
Well, tomorrow we leave for the US after having spent our longest period of time in Haiti! The time has really gone fast and God has taught me a lot. March was filled with . .
.

My dad and I went out to measure a school. It was a very hard ride. On a steep place on the mountain, a big truck was ahead of us. It was going to 2nd gear and started rolling backwards. It knocked the motorcycle down and smooshed my ankle. After we picked up the motorcycle, thankfully it started again and we were on our way.The ride was very, very bumpy. It was raining and it got cold up on the mountain. I enjoyed the hard ride. It was a great experience.

I like to work with Audin, who is our yardman. I help him sweep the depo porch and sometimes I help him rake the yard. When he waters the plants, his hoses get caught. I help move them for him. Audin is on of my new friends in Haiti.

From Tess - 9-13-05    Multilingual game!
One day Alisha, Christophe, and I sat down to play a game of Scrabble. It was getting towards the end of the game when my friend Linda came to the door. Alisha, not finding Scrabble her favorite game, gave Linda her spot. We had many good laughs and the game ended boasting English, Creole, Spanish and French words.

Memory with Purpose 9-13-05
Often during devotions after lunch, my family and I work on Bible verse memorization. Dad holds up cards bearing the verses on them and we either say them together or individually. Christophe usually eats with us and listens to our devotions and memory work. . .

The call of God is sometimes difficult to hear. Once discerned, the call of God is difficult to avoid.

Haiti. Several weeks ago I met a Christian Haitian girl named Linda. She and I have become friends and are going to be meeting together to help each other with language. She speaks a little English and needs help with her pronunciation and I need help learning the Creole language!
