Just wanted to do a quick update on Brett. Yesterday at round 10:45 Tess noticed his right eyebrow twitching. Suddenly he began coughing and then we noticed that he seemed to be doing the same thing he had done before when he had his other "spells". But this time, he did not seem to quit breathing. He continued twitching all over his body and his color remained good. We realized that he was in a seizure and we expected it to go away as quick as it came. Well it did not end for about 8 hours. We took him to the clinic and put him on oxygen and gave him a loaded dose of anti-seizure meds. The twitching seems to slow down after several hours. Around 5ish we brought him home with the oxygen and watched him closely. Thankfully around 6:30 it ended. We thought he would just fall into a deep sleep, but he must not have felt the best. He would sleep for 10-15 minutes and then awaken for awhile and thrash around. Tess slept on the couch nearby him and he slept for longer periods of time through the night. Today we continue to have him on antibiotics since he is fighting something, indicated by a fever. We trust the the anti-seizure meds will keep more seizure activity at bay, but again, all is in God's hands. It was difficult to see him in the state that we observed yesterday, but we were sure he was not aware or feeling pain. Please pray that God will be merciful to Brett. Thanks for all the love and prayers.
