Hello everyone. Just wanted to do a quick update on Brett. It has been 5 days since our scary episode. Thankfully he has continued to improve each day, acting more and more like himself. He continues on antibiotics for 2 more days, and then we will just be on the seizure control medicine. We will continue . . .

It is hard to believe that Brett is 18mo. old now. He looks very big next to 10lb Joel! We are back in Haiti with him and he is getting to use to heat and humidity again. He had a bad cold before we came, and 5 days after our arrival he had a fever and a day of not feeling very well. Thankfully his is acting . . .

Brett continues to improve, not at rapid speeds, but little by little. We continue to work on head control. Without improved head control he can’t sit or even think about crawling. At this point sitting and holding is head by himself is still a lot of work. Right now he is in a phase . . .

Back in Haiti
Brett is now in Haiti with us! We saw Dr Billmire, the G-tube surgeon on Oct 26 and she said everything was looking great at the G-tube site. The nissen was doing its job as Brett has not been able to throw up since the surgery. The other positive is that he is finally gaining weight again. He is now around 14 ½ lbs which is 2 lbs over his weight at the surgery. He actually looks chubby now!

Surgery Update
On September 5 Brett had his 3^rd set of surgeries. This one was a biggie, requiring a 3-day stay! Prayers were answered as the day progressed and our little trooper came through everything just fine. Dr Eppley, the plastic surgeon had a little trouble with the palate, since Brett’s mouth . . . . .
